This Really is a Great Looking - Very Hard to Find Antique Cast Iron Figurative New England Fisherman Doorstop. Circa Approx. 1920s. This is a Smaller Size Doorstop Measuring 6 1/8 inches Tall x 6 inches Long. It has No Maker Marks but it is Documented and Identified on Page 247 of The Doorstop Book as "Gloucester Fisherman at Wheel"" - Made by The Spencer Guilford Foundry - Connecticut - Book Value $450 to $550. Note that It Also has Historical Relevance as it is a Replica of the Famous Gloucester Massachusetts Statue Sculpted in 1923 that is Dedicated to The 10,000 Plus Fisherman Lost at Sea Since the Early 1600s. It Still Retains it All Original Hand Oil Paint Brush Painted Features - Very Good Overall Condition - Displays Nicely!. The Paint Has Darkened with Age and Use Over the Years Giving it that Authentic Old Look - Patina that Cannot be Duplicated. No Damage - No Repairs.
