Rosenthal was founded in 1879 in Selb, Bavaria, and Himmelstoss (1872-1967), a sculptor and designer of fine porcelain. was active on behalf of the Rosenthal porcelain manufactory from 1912 until 1938. This exquisite depiction of a cherub and lamb is beautifully hand painted and signed on the figure's elliptical base. Very much "of the period," this sculptural piece has an art nouveau feel to it. Incredibly beautiful and in pristine antique condition. less
