Carved and cerused - similar to whitewashing, but more subtle, where color, in this case white, is rubbed into the pores of wood to highlight the patterns of the wood grain. In this mirror, with the carved corners, it gives the mirror its rustic “Ranch Oak” look. Beautiful, heavy piece. Made in the USA and originally purchased at Kunzelmann-Esser in Milwaukee.
