This antique Chinese Altar /Painting Table is handcrafted in elegant Ming style with simple and straight lines. The overall shape of table resembles scholar scroll. Beautiful decorative motif add tasteful yet balanced ornateness. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Made from Purple Elmwood (very rare wood), the table is very solid and kept in excellent condition. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear.
