In the composition, two football players, donned in red jerseys, run the ball against a the opposing side, in white. An abstract background of dark greens and blacks and highlights of yellow, red, and orange emphasize the movement and intensity of the play, directing the viewers' attention solely onto the players.

Jay Cooper signed the canvas, in the lower left margin. This painting is undated, but was created in the late 20th century.

CONDITION:

Very good condition. Oil on canvas. Colors are vibrant and without fading or patina. Signed "Jay Cooper" in white, at bottom left of canvas. Canvas is stretched, over wooden stretcher. 24"H x 36" W (Stretcher).
