Already in the pre-Renaissance period in Tuscany, braziers like this one were used to maintain the temperature above zero °C in the "lemon houses". The embers were added every 4/5 hours, day and night. Height 175cm Weight 35Kg Maximum diameter 57 cm Material terracotta. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
