The structure of the shade, is made of bamboo with pieces of rattan, that are woven seamlessly around the top, middle and bottom sections (see photos.) The design itself, is somewhat unusual in that the outer edges of the bamboo remain smooth and round, and on the inside, appear to have been shaved in such a way; to create a somewhat hexagonal form. Additionally, at the top opening, just above the socket, there is an adjustable bar with a vertical loop made of bamboo, which is attached to the chain, that moves back and forth, enabling the chain to gently move naturally into positon when hung. When lit, it emits a very nice, warm light, showcasing very cool design patterns (see photos.)
This beautiful piece, is in overall very good, original and vintage condition, with light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure (see multiple photos.) Signs of age, time and some slightly faded areas of color of the bamboo, both on the outside and inside of the shade, signs of age and previous use on the rotating bar ,which is to be expected for a piece of this age, but nothing that affects the functionality of the piece (see photos.)

- It has a B22 bayonet, brass socket, and will work with a standard, bayonet B22 type light bulb (not included.)
- Easy to wire and mount onto a ceiling.
- It has been only been gently dusted, and oiled with flaxseed oil, with respect to the original patina.
Whether used in a bedroom, entryway, small nook, kitchen, living room, den, dining room, on a patio, et al, this wonderful pendant lamp, is the perfect accent piece to compliment any given mid-century, retro-bohemian, farmhouse or rustic- contemporary setting.
