Exceptional and unique author's proof or artist's proof by Cristóbal Gabarrón. Multifaceted artist, his figurative beginnings (hyperrealistic), soon evolved towards informalism and abstraction, due to his tireless experimentation and continuous evolution. This work is representative of his most characteristic, unique and personal style, characterized by rapid strokes and the importance of color. A pure and saturated color, which causes the work to convey a sense of joy and hope.
In general, abstract art is a mode of artistic expression characterized by representing concepts abstracted from reality or independent of what is recognizable by the senses, through freedom, irrationality and diversity of shapes, lines and colors. That is to say, it is a subjective art that does not represent in a precise or figurative way the visual reality perceived by the human being. It allows to generate different interpretations or points of view according to the receiver, because it does not seek to achieve perfection of the stroke or plausible compositions. It expresses emotions and sensations separated from logic and objectivity. For our artist, art must be inseparably linked to the evolution of society, linked to a strong social commitment that, although also glimpsed in this work, is much more easily appreciated in his sculptural work.
Signed in pencil in the lower right corner.
Cristóbal Gabarrón (1945-)
Cristóbal Gabarrón was born in Mula, Murcia, in 1945, but soon settled in Valladolid, although his training is influenced by his travels in France, Italy and New York, where he has lived for long periods.
His work is marked by an anthropocentric vision, always taking humanism as a guiding thread: man, life and the development of human values are some of his favorite themes. Some of his works are tributes to the peaceful coexistence between cultures. During his career, he has made use of different artistic disciplines: he creates sculptures, paintings, scenographies, monumental assemblies?
He is currently considered one of the most representative artists of the latest generations of Spanish artists. Internationally recognized, his works have been exhibited in prestigious European and American cities such as Miami, New York, Madrid, Gdansk, Lisbon, Saint Paul de Vence, Valladolid, Murcia, Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Valencia. He has also collaborated with international organizations such as the United Nations.
