Pair of small chopped bronze candlesticks, gilded in Louis XVI style, held sides with peaks of rams, beaded binet in wrapped falls, square base with cut sides, embellished with scrolls and heart ray. These candlesticks are of superb quality and have kept their original gilding. Candlesticks probably made in a large workshop like that of Barbedian.
Presence of figures below a candle holder. 7-3-6-5
I have already cleaned them to bring out the gilding but it might be better to clean them to remove all dirt in the bronze chisel as well as some still traces of melted wax.
Height 20.8 cm. Base 8.5 cm.
