We call her Rosie! Rosie could be a buffet, console cabinet, entry table or changing table. The maker is unknown and the piece was in rough condition, but the beautiful door carvings with the ribbon effect was too enchanting to pass up. The piece has been freshly lacquered, more details below. It also features new brass pulls and new brass hinges.
Purchasing a refurbished vintage piece helps reduce the 12 million tons of furniture that annually ends up in US landfills. Join us in the sustainable design movement! We rescue and refresh, so you can reclaim a lovely #rheirloom of your own.
FINISH:
We finish our pieces in a fully catalyzed (2k) high gloss lacquer. The process includes 8-10 layers of primer, color and top coat. We add a catalyst product at each step to enhance durability. The final stage is a 4-step buffing process to achieve that piano finish. The color is Light Quartz 2011-70, by Benjamin Moore.
CONDITION:
Fully refurbished, in excellent condition. It features solid wood construction. This piece is solid wood and was in rough shape. After our efforts you can hardly tell. We've added small adjustable feet to ensure you can keep the piece level. This will be important to ensure the doors continue to work well.
CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Like with any new piece of furniture, the finish will endure for many more generations with proper care. Use coasters and protective feet to preserve and prevent scratches, excess moisture, heat or chemicals from damaging the finish. Dust often and use a very mild soap and soft sponge for any necessary spills. Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will immediately dull a high gloss finish. More tips and product recommendations are available on our website.
