Large, very heavy churn with a 6 inscribed on it for 6 gallons. Two other markings around the top edge look deliberate. The thumbprint of the maker is at the bottom edge of the one open handle. Salt???Glazed with brown mat stain inside and out. Top opening is 8 1/2 inch. Bottom is 10 1/4 inches. It is 36 inches in circumference at the widest part. (About 13 inches in diameter) wooden dasher and ceramic lid intact. See less

Looks similar to Rock Mills, Alabama - Pitman brothers but not marked. But was bought near here. less
