A vintage Persian Afshar rug. A gloriously colored narrow vertical cane stripe design featuring light blue, dark blue, Ivory, straw, burnt apricot and terra cotta alternates boteh bands with zig-zag sections. The very narrow ivory main border shows a revering fan palmette pattern on this SE Persian tribal scatter. The striped design descends from 19th century Persian Kerman textiles woven in the area.
