Large pair of Paavo Tynell black wall lights for Taito Oy. Executed in black painted metal and brass. A highly adjustable and exceptionally refined pair of sconces. Manufactured in Finland in the early 1950s, this is a fine example of a Tynell's enduring clean-lined design. Manufacturer's stamp "TAITO" on lamp.
Taito Oy was one of the most innovative Scandinavian lighting design companies in during the midcentury era, with Tynell their sole designer. His lights have been long sought after by collectors in the know.
