This original vintage 1981 rare Fiorucci " Arizona " New Wave Italian fashion Post Modern lithograph print collector's poster is an incredibly special and unique authentic vintage piece to add to your collection. It is printed in Italy in 1981 by Industria Grafica Viappiani - Milano.
The world famous Italian fashion brand Fiorucci was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci. The first shop exposed Milan to the styles of swinging London and American classics such as the t - shirt and jeans. By the late 1970's an early 1980's this would be reversed, and the New York store would become famous for the fashions it introduced in The United States.
In the early 1980's the Fiorucci boutique in New York City was the epicenter of the New Wave Post Modern fashion scene. It was the place to be, and referred to as " The Daytime Studio 54 ". It attracted trendsetters including Andy Warhol, Jackie O., Debbie Harry, and a young Madonna, among many other creative and well known people.
Fiorucci made better posters than any fashion brand ever did. The posters sold the clothing for sure, but the posters were the product, also. They were hugely desirable. Clothing inside the closet / posters hung on the closet door. Fiorucci posters were a collectible Pop culture phenomenon.
The rare out of print original vintage 1981 Fiorucci New wave fashion collector's poster measures 19" W X 26 1/2" H. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, use, and some signs of handling. It has never been framed. There is a center horizontal and vertical fold.
