This large, early 20th century Art Déco french brass wall coat rack displays expert metalwork and design. Forged from polished brass, the piece comprises a central cylindrical post with five sturdy hooks for hanging coats and jackets. This post is supported by two sturdy L-shaped brackets that can be fixed to the wall. Resting on these brackets are four horizontal brass rods, arranged parallel and consecutively to provide surfaces for holding smaller items. The designer's marks can be found on the side, serving as proof of authorship and the place of origin.

The piece was created by progressive french design house La Maison Desny, who partnered with prominent architects to produce cutting-edge furnishings.
