I found in one room farm house in 1980 and stained it a walnut color. I treated for pine boring needles to be safe but only carpenter bees came crawling out. I left the holes on purpose. Some wear where 42 year old son ate daily. Have been using in its true condition. I’m not sure of the wood? Look at underside pictures. I didn’t want it refurbished since I knew its history. The main house was built in 1906. The barn/one room house was built earlier. That’s where I found the table. See picture. People who lived in house had a tin photo of Jessie James when he got his horses shod there. The owner made moonshine so I imagine Jesse James having a bottle of moonshine at this table.bit was above Noccalula Falls mentioned in the Gadsden Times in the pictures. My mother went to the library to verify the picture was Jesse James. I can’t find the picture due to divorces and deaths of those that had the picture. less

There were bullet holes in the ceiling of the porch of the 1906 house. My mom and friend visually identified a person in the photo of Jesse James as Cole Younger…one of his partners in bank robberies. I wish I could find who has the picture. less
