Traditional 19th Century form stool or pedestal stand with exquisite craftsmanship throughout. Carved from solid rosewood, the lobed and beaded top with an inset pink beige variegated marble top. The skirt with eye catching reticulated naturalistic design, the knees with stylized foo / fu dog faces, and the feet carved as paws. This stool/stand ticks all the boxes and is just delightful to look at. A great piece of Chinoiserie.
No markings. 19th Century.
