Made with handwoven in Turkey circa 1950-1960, this 2x9 vintage Kilim runner rug is a unique piece, which draws inspiration from Uzbek rug designs.
On the Design:
Brick red tones underscore a play of thin stripes and large geometric patterns, favoring navy blue and beige tones. Admirers of the craft will appreciate the range of primitivist tribal motifs at work—particularly a most unusual series of hexagonal ‘hook; motifs among the many depictions of this symbol throughout the rug.
