Original signed watercolor figure painting of a female reclining nude. The painting is framed with a white mat and white wood frame, framed with UV glass and ready to hang. Created with watercolor on 100% cotton archival watercolor paper and matted with an archival mat. The original painting signed by the artist Michelle Arnold Paine measures 7" x 10", framed in a 11" x 14" white wood frame with external dimensions of 12" x 15".
This drawing was created live from a figure model within a limited time frame of the pose. Life drawing from a model is a time-honored practice by the great artists of history.

After completing a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and a M.F.A. from University of New Hampshire , Michelle Arnold Paine taught Drawing, Painting and Design for seven years at various colleges in New England.
She has exhibited extensively in group shows and juried shows in commercial, community, non-profit and university spaces. Her work has been published in many publications which seek to explore elements of the divine: Evangelism and Culture, Christianity Today, Ruminate Magazine, Edge of Faith, CIVA’s SEENJournal, Dappled Things, Worship Leader, Imaginatio et Ratio and Intruding Upon the Timeless, a collection of essays by Greg Wolfe.
In addition to numerous private collections across the U.S., her paintings can be found in the collection of the Valparaiso University Chapel, Indiana, Rivier College, New Hampshire and Gordon College, Massachusetts. less
