Description: Created in China during the mid-20th century, this is a hand-woven rattan and bamboo vintage storage basket. Can also function … more Created in China during the mid-20th century, this is a hand-woven rattan and bamboo vintage storage basket. Can also function as a side table. Hand-stitched cross motifs, circular lid, wood scalloped base with brown patina. Lid features concentric circles surrounding a darker center. Opens to a convenient storage space with wood reinforcement. Generous hand-woven tapering body. Carved wooden bracketed scalloped base with hand-stitched points and a bamboo brace. This basket would function well in any room of the house. Could also be used as a hamper or toy storage.
