Cathrineholm Lotus Ware was made from 1962-1965. They were made in about 11 colours, including combinations. According to company literature, designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for the form and colour whilst Arne Clausen, another Cathrineholm designer, pushed for the idea of lotus leaves. Lotus ware became incredibly popular not just in its native Norway but across Europe, in Japan and the USA. Piece measures 8”/20.2cm in diameter, 3-3/8”/8.5cm high. A beautiful piece to add to your collection.
