Description: This intricate and highly figured and well-carved secretary-style desk stands on four well-carved and turned baluster form legs. The front … more This intricate and highly figured and well-carved secretary-style desk stands on four well-carved and turned baluster form legs. The front legs with well-carved paws form the feet. A stretcher-tiered shelf can be seen just above the feet. Above is a compartment with two short drawers flanking the slide top writing desk. Still above are two bays of short drawers with glass pull knobs that flank a central cabinet with two doors with a key lock. Key is present. Above the cabinet with doors is a long shelf with key holes. 11 drawers in all plus a cabinet in the center. There are exceptionally carved details including spiral foliate form columns amongst other marvelous details.
