This 19th-century portal door was discovered by designer Lucia Lawrence in the 1970s in Southern India and imported as the "mascot" of Lawrence & Scott, the company she founded. The door is a fantastic tribute to the history and architecture of the region, with intricately carved pillars and panels. Rich detail and often whimsical carving make this a dramatic exclamation in any space. The slightly weathered condition and open transom just heighten the story and deepen the wonder about whom had walked through these doors.
Overall: 70" wide, 38" deep, 106.5" height
Entry Passage: 36.5" wide, 74" height
Solid teak construction with brass hardware and iron hinges. All-wood joinery.
Always stored in a climate-controlled environment since 1970s.
Shipped in pieces and will require re-assembly.
