I recommend having this piece professionally reworked. There have been some repairs made to the back where the bracket is located. Both brackets are attached, although one is loose in the backing. It’s still attached and should have no issue with being affixed to the wall.

Here is a lovely pair of antique carriage lights. These originally came off of a stage coach and were originally oil burning. They were updated for electrical usage some time ago.
This pair of lights have been in my family for generations. My grandmother purchased these at her uncle’s estate sale. She remarked that she always admired them so she decided to buy them. Smart woman. She purchased them in the early 1950s. My great-uncle or great-great uncle had them on his home since the early 1900s.
They show some signs on wear and age. Some rust on the interior portion. Includes both brackets. One is missing the wingnut. Painted black with perhaps some brass accents, beveled glass and a copper eagle on top. less
