The mother dog watches alertly as her puppies are lifted one by one … more Framed Berlin woolwork needlepoint picture, "Bathing Puppies." The mother dog watches alertly as her puppies are lifted one by one out of their basket and gently washed. 10 stitch per inch gros point tent stitch with single ply of tapestry yarn (not needlepoint yarn) on brown penelope canvas. Girl's head stitched in petit point with silk thread. Worked with black background. Existing 1 1/2" wide x 1 1/8" deep stained and gold-painted frame, nicely coordinated with colors and lines of needlework. Back is open, exposing needlepoint stitchery. Piece measures 14 3/4" high x 17 5/8" wide x 1 5/8" deep.. A few missing stitches, mostly in lower left. less
