Description: This vintage, 6 panel, black lacquered wood screen is truly a stunning piece of art in it's own right as … more This vintage, 6 panel, black lacquered wood screen is truly a stunning piece of art in it's own right as well as being a functional room separator, dressing screen or backdrop. The screen consists of 6 panels each measuring approx. 16" wide X 72" high X 3/4" thick, connected with high quality hinges. The bottom feet are capped with brass. Folds together at each hinge point for easy maneuverability as well as altering the configuration to meet different design settings. This divider is also very unique as it has a life and work scene which tells a story depicted by the art. The incredible work going into these pieces is apparent in the results. At the factory the pattern is carved in wood, after which pieces of shell and stone are cut and glued in. Hours of sanding and a layered lacquer finish produce an absolutely breathtaking work of beauty. This screen was hand-selected and purchased in Hong Kong China, then carefully packed and shipped via freight to the United States. Great vintage condition. (NOTE: only 3 panels are shown in photo, but there are six). Stored in a climate-controlled environment. Comes from a smoke-free/pet-free home. less
