This was a new play by James Costigan that Herman Shumlin directed.

The poster highlights the names of the cast, lighting, set, and costume leads and is printed with the signature of the poster's designer, "Galster". Robert Galster (1923-1991), a Parsons School of Design alumni, worked as a freelance illustrator and designer for book and album covers, along with theater posters.

The Longacre Theatre, located between Broadway and 8th Avenue, is still in operation after architect, Michael Kostow, oversaw a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2008.

The brown protective paper backing is mostly intact but has pulled from the sides of the frame due to its age. Again, none of this impacts the poster which is in excellent condition. less
