The frame itself has damage in the upper right corner that does not impact the poster, please see photos for details. It appears to have been professionally framed at one time with the back stamped with, "MIRRORCRAFT CO., INC., 851 2nd, Ave., NYC". The brown protective paper backing is mostly intact but has pulled from the sides of the frame due to its age. Again, none of this impacts the poster which is in excellent condition. less

A beautiful saffron-colored poster marking the December 1, 1960 debut of "Little Moon of Alban" starring Julie Harris, John Justin, Barbara O'Neil, and Robert Redford at the Longacre Theatre in New York City. This was a new play by James Costigan that Herman Shumlin directed.
The poster highlights the names of the cast, lighting, set, and costume leads and is printed with the signature of the poster's designer, "Galster". Robert Galster (1923-1991), a Parsons School of Design alumni, worked as a freelance illustrator and designer for book and album covers, along with theater posters.
The Longacre Theatre, located between Broadway and 8th Avenue, is still in operation after architect, Michael Kostow, oversaw a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2008.
The poster is 13.5" W, .5" D, and 21.5" H. less
