On the Design:
This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our use of undyed natural yarns in the wool, for example, lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion.
Gray underscores geometric patterns in blue and ochre tones, with white accents that beautifully show the quality of undyed, natural yarns we use in this construction.
Our flat weave further enjoys a thick, more durable body. It’s a hallmark of our Kilim design, and another contemporary contribution to the Scandinavian aesthetic that sits comfortably anywhere. See less
