The gorgeous … more Stunning modernist Eva Zeisel ceramic pitcher from The Town and Country line for Red Wing c. late 1940’s-1950’s. The gorgeous smooth curves of the handle and body of this pitcher are as beautiful to look at as they are to hold. High gloss forest green glaze with white/ivory interior.
Unmarked as is normally the case with the Town & Country line.

This medium sized pitcher measures approximately 5.5” height base to spout, 8” base to top of handle; 20” diameter, 7” wide. It holds approximately 6.5 cups.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Slight glazing/color variations typical of VTG glazed pottery. Please inspect pictures carefully. Absolutely stunning on display.

Ms. Zeisel was a pioneer of industrial modernist ceramic design. A Hungarian immigrant born in 1906, she lived and worked in NYC until her death in 2011 at the age of 105. Her amazing modernist ceramic art pieces are displayed at MOMA and museums around the world. A wonderful and rare addition to any collection. less
