This is a vintage Metalstand brand rolling desk chair that has been refurbished. The seat and back cushions have been …

This is a vintage Metalstand brand rolling desk chair that has been refurbished. The seat and back cushions have been recovered in a stunning black and white houndstooth automotive fabric and very durable Naugahyde brand All American black marine vinyl. The hard plastic arm rests have been covered in a layer of 1/4 inch foam and the houndstooth fabric. The metal parts have been cleaned and polished. The chair rolls and swivels well. The seat height is adjustable as is the spring tension for reclining.
The Metalstand Company was in Philadelphia, although information about the company is scarce. I suspect this chair was manufactured in the 1970s.
