This is a unique vintage rectangular table made by Karpen in America during the 1900-1950 time period. The table is made of solid wood with an antique finish, and it measures 28 inches in width and 18 inches in length. It has a traditional style and can be used in any room, whether indoor or outdoor.
The table has a fixed feature and is fully assembled, so no additional parts are required. It does not have any drawers and is suitable for adults. The table is in its original form and is not a licensed reproduction. Its sub-style is American, and it is a perfect fit for a traditional-themed setting.
S. Karpen & Bros. was a Chicago-based furniture manufacturing firm that specialized in upholstered furniture.[1]
The firm was established in 1880 under the leadership of Solomon Karpen. Samuel's eight brothers also participated in the firm. One brother, Michael Karpen, established a West Coast branch of the firm, "S. Karpen Brothers of California," in Huntington Park, California, in 1932.
In 1913, the firm backed Lawrence V. Redman in the establishment of the Redmanol Chemical Products Company. When the Redmanol company was absorbed into the Bakelite Corporation they retained an interest in the new company. less
