Masterfully executed original Chinese painting on silk portraying a group of scholars and attendants gathered in an outside garden infront of a residence. They contemplate art and poetry at their leisure whilst servants make tea under the cherry blossom trees. Carefully looking at this work, one can obtain from it how life used to be in China - a portal into the past.
Elegantly matted and giltwood framed - under prtective plexiglass.
Signed/titled on the left in black ink calligraphy together with a red chop mark.
Condition/colour is very good considering this is well over 100 years old.
Early 20th Century.
