This painting was painting #40, part … more This is a rare painting done by the West Coast artist, Andy Nelson (1920-1996). This painting was painting #40, part of a gallery show Mr. Nelson had in 1972 in Los Angeles. Andy Nelson's works are in the permanent collection of the Palm Springs Art Museum. Mr. Nelsons worked closely with Arthur Elrod in Palm Springs, and was fettered in many Architectural Digests from the 70s. Mr. Nelson always incorporated texture in his paintings. This paintings is textured oil on canvas in bright red and matte and gloss black. Signed on front (rare) with gallery info on verso. less
