Introducing a rare set of three nesting tables designed by the influential Arne Hovmand-Olsen. Hovmand-Olsen (1919-1989) was a Danish furniture designer who was active in the mid-20th century. He was born in Denmark and trained as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture design at the world famous Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. Hovmand-Olsen began his career as a furniture designer in the late 1940s, and quickly gained recognition for his innovative designs. His furniture was characterized by its clean lines, simplicity, and characteristic functionality.
Hovmand-Olsen designed a wide range of furniture, including lounge chairs, tables, and cabinets, many of which are still produced in Denmark today. His most iconic designs include the "Model 56" armchair, the "Palisander" sideboard, and the "Propeller" stool.
