A 19th century French Provincial Louis XV style bureau plat or writing desk handcrafted of solid cherry wood in Dinan, a beautiful medieval-walled town in the Brittany region, circa 1880s. This handsome desk has an inset rectangular plank top over a shaped, carved frieze with a drawer having brass handles on each side of the kneehole. Raised on four graceful cabriole legs. Finished on all sides so that it can float in any room, this charming French table retains its beautiful rich color and patina.
