It dates to c1900. … Read more This is an extremely RARE antique Art Nouveau lithograph showcasing decorative floral designs by Christian Stoll. It dates to c1900. The Art Nouveau graphic design elements are characteristic of the period. The litho originally came from an unbound portfolio of numbered design plates published in Leipzig, Germany. The designs feature ornamental organic floral patterns for interiors, textiles, tapestries, wall panels etc. This is one of a small grouping we recently purchased. Such designs were inspirational and served as references for interior works. The image has strong depth of gray, black and white tones that are intricate, complex, and detailed. Please consider the companion images offered in our shop that work together for unique wall decor. When matted and framed, this image will make dramatic wall decor. The lithograph is in excellent pristine condition with clean border edges. (Any border shading you may see is from my photo.) Done on card stock. Note artist's imprint. The design measures 9.75 x 14 inches. Lithograph plate inclusive of documentation and border measures 12 .5 x 19 inches The lithograph is unique in size and larger that most Art Nouveau lithographs of the time thus making this image particularly rare.
