Made out of mahogany, in the Duncan Phyfe style, this table features nice brass feet with wheels for easy moving, gold stamping on the nicely aged tooled leather, and a turned spindle on the bottom. The slide-outs that hold up the leafs are sturdy and move freely. While there are marks to the wood and leather from use, the patina is wonderful and this would be a perfect complement to a library, office, or comfortable living room.

Heritage Henredon was a collaboration between Henredon and the furniture company Drexel-Heritage that lasted throughout much of the mid 20th century.

This table was sold by Goldsmith's Furniture in Harrisburg, PA. Goldsmith Furniture Company was founded in 1881 by German-born upholsterer Joseph Goldsmith. Goldsmith was born in Germany on February 3rd, 1855, and migrated to the United States at the age of sixteen in 1871. Prior to moving to the United States Goldsmith learned the valuable trade of upholstery in Frankford, Germany. Upon moving to the United States Goldsmith found work as an upholsterer in New York. After working in New York for three years he eventually moved to Harrisburg in 1874. In 1881 Goldsmith began establishing his own business in Harrisburg. less
