This rare table is a fabulous example of the Bauhaus influence on Gilbert Rohde's work for the US-based company, Troy Sunshade. The design elements in this piece can be found in all manner of his designs from desks to coffee tables and really typify that sleek streamline/bauhaus/machine-age period of the 1930s and 1940s.

The table is in very good vintage condition. There are nicks and dings to corners and edges, nothing major (see images). Mild scratching to the surface of the black mica but looks good overall. Minor patina to the chrome. The table is structurally sound. less
