These chairs have an amazing patina. The original red paint is weathered and worn, just the way we like them! These chairs are unusual in that they have the initials 'VM' embossed on the chair backs. This could be the manufacturer's mark or a custom embossing for an end user. We have seen other examples of this sort of embossing on Tolix chairs (specifically CFM), but not VM. These chairs also have name tag slots on the rear of the backrest indicating that they may have been produced for school use.
