Russian large pendant two-light lantern (lantern) in the style of Louis XVI, with a bronze frame for mounting the main fasteners (metal belts) and decorative details (crystal pendants and details of the glass body of the chandelier). The lantern is equipped with two bronze heads for installing candles.
The central part of the chandelier (a large cylindrical glass lantern) is fixed in a metal belt (rim). It is suspended on four chains from the upper mount of the lantern. The upper mount of the lantern is made of metal on which the glass dome of the lantern is fixed in the center, and the upper part of the mount is equipped with a hook for hanging the lantern from the ceiling. Along the perimeter, the chandelier is richly decorated with glass (crystal?) pendants mounted on metal belts (rims) and curved metal beams.
The surfaces of the decorative belts are decorated with relief ornaments and gilded. In the lower part, the lantern has a glass bottom, which is fixed in the center with a decorative round piece, which is the completion of a vertical metal rod. The vertical metal rod in the upper part is attached to the upper mount of the lantern.
Russia, early 19th century. Presumably the Imperial glass factory. Bronze, casting, forging, gilding. Colorless transparent glass, crystal glass.
