These are a wonderful pair of candlesticks and a neat historical memento. They were made as souvenirs of Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee. There were three sizes made – the largest, Ace of Diamonds (14"), the medium size, The King of Diamonds (12" just like the ones in this listing) and a smaller set marked The Queen of Diamonds (11"). They later added in The Prince of Diamonds and the Princess of Diamonds.
They feature square bases with clipped edges and a large centre knop with the namesake diamond decoration. A candle ejector pusher rods are fitted to all (seen in the photos taken of the bottom of the candlesticks).
