Offered for sale is a very large 1960s abstract acrylic painting on canvas by the listed artist Mariette Bevington (20th C American). The painting has a great composition and bold colors. It is signed by the artist and titled "AUGUST" on verso. The painting is unframed.
Mariette Bevington was married to Alistair Bevington and known for their collaborations in stained glass creations. Alistair was also a sculptor who trained as an architect at Cambridge and practiced architecture upon moving to the United States.
