Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso blue, light yellow green and aventurine stripe pattern Italian art glass fish figurine / sculpture. The fish is documented to designer Galliano Ferro, for the Fornasa De Murano A L'Insegna Del Moreto company. The line decoration on the body is created in a "Fenicio" or pulled feather design. The lines are doubled with blue and glittery copper aventurine next to each other. The figure is made with UV reactive / Uranium glass within it, as it glows under a black light (please see photo). Would make a great companion piece on any desk, coffee table or curio cabinet. Use it as a paperweight, or display it as a decorative piece in your home. Mid-century era. Last 2 photo shows tool markings on the tail of the fish and chip towards the bottom of the paperweight. Measures 4" long x 2 1/4" high x 1 1/2" wide.
