- Beautiful solid mahogany 2 piece Chippendale style full bonnet top highboy with nice carving and beautiful flame finials. This piece … more Beautiful solid mahogany 2 piece Chippendale style full bonnet top highboy with nice carving and beautiful flame finials. This piece was made by a company that paid attention to details. The carving is similar to the carving on antique highboys but not overdone like some of the more modern ones. Beautiful carved knees on the cabriole legs that end in ball, and claw feet. The proportions are exactly as they should be. Drawers are all dovetail construction. The reeded quarter columns are a detail not often found on these. Even the plinth that the flame finials sit on is an added feature often times not found. Highboy is in very good condition only showing minor signs of use consistent with its age. Highboy retains its original factory finish as well as all of the original brass hardware. Piece is 81 1/2" to the top of the center finial. The widest point is the knees of the legs, it is 38 3/4" wide here and 21 1/4" deep at this point as well. Piece come is 2 pieces to make moving it easy. Piece was made in the 1940's. less
