This SMALL 24" wide by 30" high by 1.5" deep painting is done on canvas in CONTEMPORARY STYLE and is painted in acrylic paint with marble dust texture. REMINDING US ALL how a great day of powder skiing can be in BRIGHTON! It is a very white painting yet with several small amounts of color coming through, including metallic gold and 4 other colors in small amounts.
DESIGN: A WHITE PAINTING LOOKS GREAT I ANY ROOM.
The artist is DON BRADY of DON BRADY DESIGN who has a fine arts degree in painting and drawing from the University of Utah AND has been selling his art for 50 years in Utah and neighboring states. MOST of the paintings on CHAIRISH site ARTANDLOTSOFIT are painted by DON BRADY.
DON BRADY was in the first PART CITY ARTS FESTIVAL, sponsored by Park City Kimball Arts Center in the summer of 1969. At that time the artists just picked out am empty building on Main street (they were all empty and falling apart) and nailed/hung their art work all around the building...now all buildings are on the National Historical Registry and can not be touched/changed in any way.
All of the Don Brady paintings were large canvas paintings and the largest painting which was 96" W by 72" H sold to the Hogles, of the Hogle Zoo family which was the highest dollar amount sale at the 1969 art festival for $390....people where surprised that a painting would sell for that much money. Don Brady sold the highest total number of paintings for this first PARK CITY ARTS FESTIVAL. The festival is a big deal now with artist from all over the world and is attended by 50,000 people every August. less
