Some of my other lamps have glass shades that are more geometric in design, which also embody the spirit of Art Deco. This lamp is an authentic piece from the Art Deco period (1920's to 1930's).

This lamp hasn't been refinished, so along with the lovely silver finish, you will see some traces of rust and other signs of age. For those of you who are purists, you will be delighted by this fact. This lamp had no wiring at all when I bought it, so the socket, plug and cord are all new with a vintage look to them. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to point out that I found a hairline crack when I looked inside the glass shade. It's not visible from the outside, possibly because the inside of the shade has a smooth finish and the outside is frosted. Even when the light is on, this crack isn't visible. There are also some flea bites around the top of the glass shade, but these are covered by the metal disc when the shade is in place and aren't visible.
