The Murano vase, blown completely by hand, is of an unprecedented lightness; characteristic of the Murano glassworks of that period. Almost spherical in shape, reminiscent of a flattened Roman jar. Its color has a black base with light yellow vertical streaks. Internally it was lined with white glass. Cased glass is a type of glass similar to submerged glass, but usually thinner.
