Exquisite Rare late 19th C Antique French Neyret Freres Woven Monochrome Silk Pictures, “Printemps” (Spring) and “The Storm or Daphnis et Chloe” after Paintings by French Artist Pierre Auguste Cot, 1837 - 1883. A Wonderful Addition for any Home or Collection.

The Shimmering Silk is Magnificent in its' Composition giving a lovely effect. You can almost feel the Light filtering through the Trees -the Facial features are Stunning.
In their Silk factory (founded in 1823), the Neyret brothers, for their part, became specialists in Silk reproduction until 1970 when the profitability of the company did not allow this technique to continue. particular painting on canvas.
According to one of the descendants of the Neyret family, more than 12 different silk threads were needed for the precise rendering of a grey to be reproduced.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
