22" wide by 29.5" tall by 3" thick. Substantial - 15 lbs. or so.
Fantastic detail of the British Royal Family Coat of Arms Shield, with Lion, Dragon, "Gloria et Angliae" and of course" Dieu et Mon Droit" - God and My Right.
Frame is also a work of art - faceted wood to frame the plaque, with a peg construction. Original and remarkable.
Fosdick's work is included in the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. and the Smithsonian, among other world-class collections.

My husband is an Anglophile of the highest order, and we have family links to Charleston, South Carolina that take us there several times a year. On a recent trip we discovered this in a very important private collection there, and we loved it for its detail and artisan quality - and it's English provenance, 'natch. Once we brought it home to Virginia, we dug into Fosdick - and wow! A remarkable piece of 19th century history. less
