The wood shows a varied patina from blonde to dark brown, with good wear and glossy areas where contact with skin has given the wood a shine. Typically, this type of saddle is covered with an elaborately embroidered piece of cloth, which both adds comfort as well as colorful style to the saddle. Very nice ethnographic example.
